Introducing the ultra-compact
PX4, the newest member of Korg's PANDORA series and a Personal Multi
Effect Processor that delivers more of what today's guitarists demand.
In fact, when the PANDORA series was first introduced, no one would have
imagined that so many great sounds and features could be packed into such
a portable unit. Now, the brand new, fourth generation PANDORA PX4 takes
the evolution of this ground-breaking series of guitar products one giant
step further.
More modeling than ever
before
The PX4 takes full advantage of Korg's proprietary REMS modeling technology
to provide an extensive array of 124 different high-quality effects, and
up to seven effects can be used simultaneously.
From high-end tube amps to rare vintage amps, it faithfully re-creates
the sounds of 14 of the world's most coveted guitar amplifiers. And, you
can combine them with the PX4's cabinet models that precisely emulate
the acoustic characteristics of the most popular and sought after speaker
cabinets.
The PX4 even includes pickup modeling, so you can get a single coil or
humbucker sound from the same guitar. Plus, the PX4 is packed with other
cool effects like Guitar Synth that lets you create synthesizer sounds,
an Acoustic Effect for realistic acoustic guitar sounds from an electric,
and a Feedback Effect that makes awesome feedback techniques possible
at any volume level! It also has an Intelligent Pitch Shifter that automatically
creates harmonies while you play, a Talking Effect for "talking guitar"
sounds, a Slow Attack that produces violin-type bowed sounds, Rotary Speaker
modeling and much more.
The 50 preset programs take full advantage of these effects and cover
all musical styles as well as the sounds of top artists. You can also
create your own multi-effects programs and save them in the PX4's 50 user
program-memory locations.
More knobs mean less headaches
The PX4 is designed for easy use. Its user interface is based on direct
control via knobs, eliminating any complex editing steps. The 11 most
frequently-used amp types can be selected directly using an independent
dial, and tone controls such as gain, treble, and bass can be edited using
knobs, just like on a conventional guitar amp. Effect types and parameter
values can also be edited instantly by using the value dial.
Play along with a variety
of rhythm and bass patterns
The PX4 comes programmed with 40 different rhythm patterns covering styles
like rock, jazz, funk, blues and dance music. You can specify the key
you want to play in and the chords you want to play over and the PX4 will
lay down a pro-sounding bass line along with the rhythm backing so you
can practice in any style. Of course, you can also use the effect programs
while you practice, making the PX4 excellent for practicing riffs, creating
solos and sharpening your chops. The PX4 also lets you chain up to eight
different rhythm patterns together, so you can easily work on demo songs
using just your PX4.
